Automatic bending production line:
KUKA robots are often used in conjunction with multifunctional
bending centers, such as RAS MULTIBEND-CENTER, to form automated
bending production lines. In this production line, KUKA robots are
responsible for feeding and unloading the bending equipment,
enabling a fully automated production process.
For example, inside the RAS bending center, the KUKA robot uses a
scratch-free process to bend sheet metal. The sheet is kept flat on
the working surface and transferred to the machine by a robotic arm
for bending.
Two machine cooperative bending system:
In some applications, two KUKA robots collaborate on bending tasks.
One robot is responsible for feeding the billet into the bending
machine, and the other is responsible for removing the bent parts
and subsequent stacking operations. This two-machine collaboration
system can further improve productivity and flexibility.

Project content and technical requirements
1: The robot runs to the position of the feeding table and grabs
the plate by the gripper. After the plate is grabbed, it is ready
to align. The robot runs to the position of the positioning table
and places the plate on the positioning table for accurate
positioning.
2: Turning over: According to the process needs to determine
whether to use the turning over rack, if necessary, the robot is
run to the position of the turning rack, the board is placed on the
turning rack, the robot releases the board, avoids the collision,
and the board is grasped after the turning over is completed.
3: The robot runs to the position of the bending machine, flattens
the plate onto the lower die of the bending machine, accurately
locates the plate through the sensor of the back stop finger of the
bending machine, after the positioning is completed, the robot
sends the bending signal to the bending machine, and collaborates
with the bending machine to complete the bending action, determine
whether it needs to bend again, and decide whether to carry out
continuous bending. Bending is the key link, and the technical
difficulty of bending lies in the cooperative action of robot and
bending machine, that is, bending following. When the robot picks
up or supports the bending of the plate, the plate deforms, and the
robot needs to follow the plate with circular motion according to a
specific trajectory algorithm, and always maintain a relatively
fixed position with the plate.
4: Palletizing: The robot runs to the position of the cutting
table.
