BK1120 EtherCAT bus coupler for standard bus terminal modules

The BK1120 EtherCAT coupler is used to connect the EtherCAT Fieldbus protocol to the bus terminal module. The coupler converts Ethernet 100BASE-TX transfer messages into a built-in, fieldbus-independent terminal module bus. A site consists of a coupler, up to 64 bus terminal modules, and one bus end terminal module. Automatic allocation of process images for EtherCAT system. With K-bus extension, up to 255 bus terminal modules can be connected.

The BK1120 is equipped with two RJ45 ports. The upper end Ethernet interface is used to connect the coupler to the network. The lower end interface is used to connect to other EtherCAT devices in the same network segment.

The coupler comes with a 24 V system and field power supply, where the current required for subsequent bus terminal module communication comes from the system power supply. Supply up to 10 A of power to each I/O component through the power contact. In EtherCAT networks, the EK1120 coupler can be installed anywhere in the Ethernet signal transmission segment (100BASE-TX), but not directly on the switch. The EK9000 and EK1000 couplers can be used directly with the switch.
